The Day the Dock Fell
For five days the winds came out of the West battering and bullying the harbor and its occupants. No one was exempt from the work of securing and resecuring the boats in the harbor. Phones rang at all hours of the day and night with calls for assistance. Exhausted, everyone was relieved when the winds shifted back to the East and the Sea grew calm again. Tired from swimming in the harbor five to eight times a day securing lines, Captain Mike is left with no dock for loading or unloading and questioning his sanity in restoring this boat. | |
